Yes, you can use a custom font for your signage project. Simply provide us with the font file you would like to use. If the font is a paid or licensed typeface, we recommend contacting us before purchasing it. Some fonts, particularly those with very thin strokes or intricate designs, may not provide sufficient space for LED placement and therefore may not be suitable for illuminated or backlit signs.
All backlit signs are custom-made, so we don’t use fixed fonts. Since LEDs need space inside the sign, very thin fonts may be adjusted or made bolder to ensure proper and even lighting.
We prefer receiving vector design files with all fonts and objects converted to curves or paths. This ensures accurate production and pricing.
Files like .JPG or .PNG are raster formats and do not provide sufficient detail for precise cost calculation. They can only be used for a rough or estimated quotation.
Since LEDs need to be placed evenly inside the sign for uniform lighting, the minimum stroke width should be at least 10mm (0.4″), and the overall sign height should be more than 10mm (4″). This helps ensure the design is suitable for backlit production. Final feasibility will be confirmed on a case-by-case basis.
